This news really shock me!

This happen to a security guard who suppose is the trust person, but then the "trust" causing the bank officer was shot in the head at "close range" by a security guard at 6.20pm on Oct 23 at USJ Sentral, Subang Jaya. that time the bank officer bring the security guard to bank's vault. The security guard with fake mykad then fled with RM450,000 from the bank’s vault.

This all because of the "lust" (nafsu)i will said. Pity to that officer and families :(

Non malaysian (not mykad holder) nothing wrong actually, the problem is if the person with the fake identity card / fake mykad, then if that is anything happen, then that is no way to track the people, who he is, what his actual name, what is the nationality, what his last address, we don't know who he is actually, he just like "invisible man", people with no identity...

With the Mykad reader, do you think we still need to photocopy for the mykad ID card?

I'm still remember, in the past, Malaysia's citizen /Malaysians are require to photocopy their Mykad (malaysian National ID card)for many purposes, i do it the same since i had success apply the mykad in my 12 years old ( I am actually not really sure why as Malaysian, why i am only get my national ID cards which proven my Malaysian's Identity by 12 years old only, how this ID system work, sorry, this a bit beyond my knowledge as i am not a historian nor never do a deep research on this. Well, may be i shall research for this also. )


Nowsaday due to i am searching around the mykad related info and run a blog on it, i come across a gadget called mykad ID reader or simple we called it mykad reader. Whay is the purposes of this gadget? With this hardware, normally is USB Powered with USB cable, just plug into the PC / laptop, then you run the software, then the software will manage to read (retrieve) the mykad info into the system/database. this is good for no need anymore hassle data entry. so with the mykad reader, we already able to collect the mykad data into the software system, do you think we still need to photocopy for the mykad ID card for many application process? or this still require due to the law or for the legal process? I am not sure for this, you may need find out yourself for the time being..


However, in today's world, we know the IT can improving the efficiency, i see this kind of reader can improve the efficiency, improve the speed that operator key in the data e.g for the apartment guard house's security guard(pak guard) who need to register the visitor's mykad or loyalty membership counter require to key in the member data, under the pressure of visitor, if the operator is in pressure for the long queue, somemore not all operators is well trained then the registration process become even slower and many wrong type mistake problem happen; and i believe the condominium/apartment/bulding's community /management members not all can understand the guard house's visitor log book hand writing, actually that is useless in many time, nobody going to read it and i guess police won't investigate on that if any cases happen. so Mykad reader in this situation will play a good role, improve the efficiency.


following scenario and field can be use the mykad and software to improve the efficiency ie. clinic pr hospital's patient system, or labor delivery system or medical report collection,all require the identity verification, mykad reading is most straight forward ; driving school to verify the examiner identity; retail shopping member card, save the ; college enrollment ;, insurance agency for the customer data key in, reduce the embarrassing situation require client to wait while manual fill the form; Bank financial institution/ Government agency /govt licensed loan company check client or citizen details, just plug in the mykad and read, more easy; Human Resource System and Payroll System for employee registration, check the employee not use the fake mykad; Condo/Office/Factory Visitor Management System; Hotel Management System.


I am notice in the market like i went to clinic or some hotel, in their front desk most of them use ROCKEY reader, can read the mykad and mykid. however, please contact the seller for more info. This blog not selling anything.

PETALING JAYA: Datasonic Group Bhd has received a letter of award from the Homes Affairs Ministry for the supply of an additional 10 million new raw MyKad under a RM180mil contract for a two-year duration that ends on Dec 31, 2013.

Through its wholly-owned subsidiary Datasonic Technologies Sdn Bhd, it will supply MyKad made of 100% polycarbonate material with new security features to the National Registration Department (NRD).

I am apply to update and print my latest residence address on my mykad, renew my data in the mykad,  this procedure only cost me 1 day, i can collect by next day, superb efficient! (to be confirm once i collected my mykad tomorrow!) - updated news - yeah, i am really manage to collect my malaysian ID card mykad the next day in the Jabatan Pendaftaran negara office KL, this is true!

Payment is RM10 only, as i am with my old mykad, i am not lost it, so that is no "denda" ( punishment )

Keychain style mykad reader (buy? )

I am not sure whether i am correct or not, if not mistaken i remember in the last time that is a kind of easy to carry device to read the mykad (malaysian's ID card - Kad is same mean with card, it is in national language for Malaysian,  Bahasa Malaysia "malaysia language")

I am not try to offense whoever involve in this loyalty program which utilise mykad, but i just worry the similar way use by the party with "special purpose".

I would like to request smart shopper owner AJ team and supported Govt dept find the way also teach public to allow public and all Malaysians to verify the trustfulness of such site, this web site require the public or anyone with mykad to enter their data to enjoy for the benefits, look fine to all but it is really fine to enter our details into this site?? will this the phishing site? how can i as a normal citizen know this? sorry, i really no answer for you all. Based on the source of Internet, latest Malaysia National ID card's (Mykad , pronounce "my -card") security chip were supplied by Infineon Technologies.

MyKad is a multi-application national electronic identity card, it is can be function for 6 government applications including biometric identification, which will enable the implementation of additional functions such as driver license, health, ATM, e-signature and eGovernment services. Sistem Tukar Milik Sementara (STMS) launched

Interim ownership system for used cars launched

April 02, 2012

PETALING JAYA, April 2 — The government today launched an online system where car owners can transfer the ownership of their cars temporarily to used-car dealers when they sell their vehicles.

Called the Interim Ownership Transfer System, or the Sistem Tukar Milik Sementara (STMS), it would prevent car owners from getting fines and summonses, and instalment notices from financial institutions, after they have sold their cars to used-car dealers.

According to a report in The Star Online, the system was launched here by Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha.

With this system, car owners who sell their vehicles through used-car dealers will be able to register their vehicles through the STMS system and obtain a receipt as proof that they have transferred the ownership temporarily to the dealer, said the report.

If the vehicle is not sold after six months, the used-car dealer will be given permanent ownership of the vehicle.

1.  Sistem  e-Tukar  Milik  Sementara  ini  diperkenalkan  dengan  tujuan
memindahkan liabiliti dan tanggungan sebuah kenderaan untuk sementara
waktu  kepada  syarikat-syarikat  kenderaan  terpakai  yang  membeli
kenderaan  tersebut.    Semua  kenderaan  persendirian  (motokar)  yang
dijual  kepada  syarikat  kenderaan  terpakai diwajibkan ditukar  milik  secara
sementara ke atas nama syarikat kenderaan terpakai berkenaan;

2.  Pada  masa  sekarang,  seksyen  13  (1),  Akta  Pengangkutan  Jalan  1987
(APJ  1987)    memperuntukkan  bahawa  bagi  sesebuah  kenderaan  motor
yang  bertukar  milik,  permohonan  hendaklah  dikemukakan  kepada  JPJ
dalam  tempoh 7 hari  untuk  kenderaan  tersebut  didaftarkan  di  atas  nama
pemilik  baru.  Walau  bagaimanapun,  kebiasaannya  bagi  kenderaan  yang
dijual atau “trade-in” kepada  syarikat  kereta  terpakai,  pertukaran  milikan
tidak terus berlaku. 

3.  Keadaan ini mengakibatkan pemilik asal masih menanggung segala risiko
walaupun  kenderaan  tersebut  telah  dijual  kepada  syarikat-syarikat

kenderaan  terpakai.  Pemilik  asal  masih  kekal  sebagai  pemilik  berdaftar
kenderaan berdasarkan pada daftar JPJ. Masalah yang timbul adalah:

(i)  masih terus menerima notis saman JPJ atau Polis Diraja Malaysia atas
kesalahan lalu lintas yang berlaku selepas kenderaan telah dijual;

(ii)  menerima  notis  mengarahkan  penyelesaian  baki  hutang  daripada
institusi kewangan; dan

(iii)  masih  menanggung  liabiliti  ke  atas  kenderaan dan  dikhuatiri  akan
menanggung  risiko  sekiranya  kenderaan  tersebut    terlibat  dalam
kemalangan atau jenayah.

4.  Urusan tukar milik bagi kenderaan-kenderaan persendirian (motokar) yang
dijual  kepada  syarikat  kenderaan  terpakai pada  masa  ini biasanya tidak
dilaksanakan serta merta kerana: 

(i)  fi  pertukaran  milikan  sebanyak  RM100  membebankan  syarikat  kereta
terpakai;

(ii)  syarikat kenderaan terpakai tidak bercadang untuk memiliki kenderaan
tersebut  tetapi  menyimpan  kenderaan  tersebut  sehingga  mendapat
pembeli baru; 

(iii)  syarikat  kenderaan  terpakai  bimbang  kereta  tersebut  akan  susut  nilai
sekiranya ditukar milik beberapa kali.

5.  Bagi  mengatasi  masalah-masalah  di  atas,  e-Tukar  Milik  Sementara
digunakan  dengan  konsep  pelaksanaan  yang  dicadangkan  ialah  syarikat
kenderaan  terpakai  akan  didaftarkan  sebagai  pemilik  sementara.  Bagi
maksud  itu,  satu  sistem  elektronik  atau link-up akan  diwujudkan  untuk
menghubungkan  syarikat  kenderaan  terpakai  kepada  sistem  JPJ.  Ini

membolehkan  pertukaran  milikan  dilaksanakan  semasa  pemilik  menjual
kenderaannya kepada syarikat kenderaan terpakai. Maklumat kenderaan,
pemilik  berdaftar  dan  pemilik  baru  akan  dihantar  secara online kepada
sistem JPJ melalui GP. 

6.  Kementerian  Pengangkutan  diberi  kuasa  untuk  meluluskan  mana-mana
syarikat Gateway  Provider  (GP)  yang  dilantik  oleh  syarikat  kenderaan
terpakai untuk mewujudkan link-up dengan sistem Jabatan Pengangkutan
Jalan  (JPJ); dan

7.  Setiap  transaksi  pertukaran  milikan  kenderaan  persendirian  (motokar)
secara  sementara  kepada  syarikat  kenderaan  terpakai  dikenakan  fi  pada
kadar RM10.

East Malaysians can now shop and save by using MyKad

KOTA KINABALU: East Malaysians now can enjoy savings rewards on their daily shopping by only swiping their MyKad under the MyKad Smart Shopper Programme.

The programme offers a comprehensive affiliated marketing platform for retailers and affiliates to form mutually rewarding collaboration, where retailers offer retail privileges to members, and referral commission to affiliates for referring members to buy from retailers.

Consumers will be able to enjoy special privileges, instant cash rebate and reward points when they shop at participating merchant outlets.

Founder of Affiliate Junction, Lawrence Teo, said the programme had acquired over 30,000 affiliates and members, with close to 200 participating outlets.

“Among them, around 10 per cent of merchants and five per cent of affiliates and members are from East Malaysia markets,” he said during the official launch in East Malaysia by Affiliate Junction which is jointly supported by the National Registration Department (NRD) and Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) here yesterday.

Affiliate Junction is an online and offline affiliate programme network developed and managed by I Synergy Universal Sdn Bhd, an integrated retail performance marketing solution provider in Malaysia.

There are currently more than 20 participating merchants from East Malaysia, including Sutera Sanctuary Lodges, Rumours Bistro, Lava Restor Bar, Heatwave, Airworld, Hua Hing and Survivor Paintball.

Teo, who is also the chief executive officer of the IS Group, is confident that the programme would attract more participating merchants, affiliates and consumers in East Malaysia, especially Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Kuching in the next few months.

The programme was officially launched earlier in Kuala Lumpur on November 4, last year. Affiliate Junction aims to acquire at least 10,000 affiliates and members from East Malaysia over the next 12 months.

“We have our targets set to expand Affiliate Junction both on the local online market as well as outside of Malaysia, and continue to make Malaysia proud.”

On the other hand, chief marketing officer of IS Group, Y E Leong, assured consumers that their private and confidential (P&C) information will not be extracted from their MyKad.

Leong explained that the MyKad will only be used as a membership card in the programme, and only information necessary for the programme such as name, identification card number, and transaction history at participating merchants will be captured for programme tracking, reporting and incentives.

“For retailers, they will not be able to view a user’s transaction history with other retailers; they can only view the history in their own outlets.

Meanwhile, director of the Government Multipurpose Card Project from NRD, Siti Rohani Muhamad Yusup, encouraged more organizations to utilize MyKad for cost saving and efficiency purpose, as the initiative done by Affiliate Junction.

She pointed out that MyKad has enabled Malaysians around the world to benefit from more than 50 applications ranging from health services to transportation under the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) initiative.

Rohani added that other initiatives introduced on the MyKad platform include e-pasartani and MyKasih programme, which aimed to alleviate the socioeconomic status of low income earners.

“The initiative by Affiliate Junction that leverages upon the innovative use of MyKad, which links retailers, affiliates and consumers on a rewarding platform for all parties is made feasible through this MyKad Smart Shopper Programme.

“It is a programme that I personally feel will help Malaysians at large to gain benefits from the strategic alliance of retailers under Affiliate Junction,” Rohani said.

In conjunction with the East Malaysia launch, Affiliate Junction is offering 12-month free trial to a minimum of 200 potential retailers in East Malaysia as case study partners.

*Mykad smart shopper program is designed to leverage on Malaysian national identity smart card in promoting local retail industry. Using MyKad as the program ID, registered cardholder (i.e. program members who have been referred by affiliates) can enjoy retail privileges at participating merchants’ outlets using their MyKad, while the referral affiliates will be incentivized through the program system.

Red tokens for senior citizens using RapidKL

KUALA LUMPUR: RapidKL is introducing red-coloured tokens for senior citizens that will allow them to enjoy a concession fare or 50% discount tickets on the LRT.

Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad group director for rail division Khairani Mohamed said commuters aged 60 and above could also travel with a 50% discount on the KL Monorail from tomorrow.

“These single-journey red tokens can also be bought and used by the disabled. The purchase can only be made at our ticketing counters at the LRT stations.

“Similarly, for the monorail service, the 50% discount tickets are to be bought at the ticket counters,” he said in a statement.

The ticket vending machines at the LRT stations will only issue normal tickets, which are blue.

Senior citizens are advised to use their RapidKL Senior Citizen Card for more convenience in their travelling, skipping the need to queue to buy the token each time they want to take the LRT or Monorail.

“Those who have yet to get a card can go to the Pasar Seni LRT station to apply for free card,” said Khairani.

“They need to bring their MyKad and a photocopy of it, and also a complete registration form to the counter at the Pasar Seni station.

“As for the disabled, they need to show OKU cards issued by the Welfare Services Department.”

Khairani said the concession fare was in line with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s an­­nouncement on Budget Day in October that senior citizens would be accorded a 50% discount on the LRT and monorail tickets and the concession fare also extended to the disabled. — Bernama
